As a non-profit organization, we rely on community volunteers to serve and we have many opportunities to available for the 2016-2017 school year.

School Volunteers

SAC Committee: volunteers who are willing to attend a monthly, 1 hour meeting; most likely at a  high-needs school. The School Advisory Council is made up of teachers, administrators, parents business and community partners who oversee the School Improvement Plan (SIP), budget and student needs, and other areas. This volunteer opportunity does not require experience and may require: background check, a 1 year commitment, and transportation. Volunteers are required to apply at the school site.

PTA Committee: volunteers who are willing to serve as a PTA representative; usually at a high-needs school. The time commitment may vary by school site. Volunteers are required to apply at the school site.

Mentor/Tutor/Chaperone: volunteers who are willing to serve students one-on-one or in groups at a high-needs school. This position may require a second level background check. Volunteers are required to apply at the school site.

Ministry Volunteers

First Priority often provides meals and/or resources to teachers during planning week and teacher appreciation events. This position does not require experience and may vary in time commitment. Teacher Appreciation Week is coming up in April (2017). If you would like to help by setting up and serving lunch, please contact us: infofirstpriority@gmail.com

Prayer Team: we would like to form groups of volunteers who are willing to gather in prayer for students, faculty and families.
